Spina Bifida Awareness Week

Spina Bifida Awareness week for the year of 2003 runs from the 1^st to the 7^th of September.

Spina Bifida Day for 2003 is on Friday 5^th September.

The primary objectives of Spina Bifida Awareness Week are to:-

Increase awareness of the Spina Bifida Association of WA Inc.
To help promote public awareness of spina bifida within the community
Run "Sneakers for A Day" campaign on Friday 5^th September 2003

As part of Spina Bifida Awareness Week there are a range of activities for you to be involved in. They are as follows:-

Collections Day - Saturday 6^th of September 2003

Tin Shaking day at various locations in the city from 8.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m.

Sneakers for A Day - Friday 5^th of September 2003

On this day as many members of the general public are encouraged to wear sneakers in place of ordinary shoes for the price of a gold coin donation. We also have funky key rings, tattoos of sneakers and pins of sneakers that will be available to purchase with all profits going to help the SBAWA
